Founded in 2014, Prescott Trail Riders (PTR) was created by local enthusiasts determined to preserve and expand recreational trail riding in Prescott, Arizona. As a non-profit organization, PTR works closely with the Prescott National Forest Trails & Wilderness to ensure the appropriate use of approved trails, maintain existing routes, and develop new riding opportunities.
While the club began with dirt bike riders, PTR’s mission embraces a wider outdoor community, including hikers, mountain bikers, equestrians, quad, and UTV users, making them a unifying force for trail advocacy.
A Commitment to Racing and the Community
To support both trail preservation and competitive racing, Prescott Trail Riders host an AMA/AMRA-sanctioned race each year. The proceeds from these events help fund trail projects, support National Forest advocacy, and benefit the entire community.
