AMRA Club Spotlight: Arizona Trail Riders

Arizona Trail Riders

The Arizona Motorcycle Riders Association (AMRA) is proud to work alongside outstanding off-road motorcycle clubs that help grow and strengthen Arizona’s riding community. In this 2025 AMRA Club Spotlight, we’re featuring the Arizona Trail Riders (ATR), a non-profit, family-oriented dirt bike club based in Phoenix, Arizona, with over 36 years of continuous operation.

About the Arizona Trail Riders

Founded in 1987, Arizona Trail Riders is one of the largest and oldest dirt bike clubs in Arizona. The club’s mission is simple, enjoy the sport of dirt biking while promoting responsible off-highway vehicle (OHV) use. Whether it’s singletrack trails, jeep roads, dual sport rides, or competitive racing, ATR members share a passion for exploring the great outdoors on two wheels.

Our People

The Arizona Trail Riders club welcomes riders of all ages, genders, and skill levels. ATR members are encouraged to participate in OHV advocacy, ensuring their voices are heard by land managers and legislators. This commitment to both riding and protecting access has helped preserve Arizona’s trails and riding areas for decades.

Lifestyle and Events

ATR offers members a mix of adventure, competition, and camaraderie. Club activities include organized rides to Baja and Colorado, annual Camp-n-Ride gatherings, and participation in AMA National Enduros, Dual Sport rides, and AMRA Desert Scrambles. ATR also hosts public events as fundraisers, bringing riders together while giving back to the community.
