Dashās Story, In His Own Words:
āMy name is Dash, and Iām 9 years old. Iāve been riding dirt bikes since I was 7 years old, starting on a Honda CRF 50. I fell in love with the sport and went fast right away! I started racing off-road in 2023. I now compete in every AMRA race I can!ā
Dashās passion for racing is clear: āRacing makes me feel strong and proud, especially after finishing a challenging course. I love the adventure and pushing myself to new limits.ā
First Time on a 65cc
āOne of my most memorable races so far was this year in Page, AZ. It was my first time on a 65cc. It pushed me outside my comfort zone and taught me that I can finish strong, even when itās tough!ā
Race Day Routine
āBefore a race, I take care of my health and mind. I try to get in as much seat time as possible and focus on turning nerves into positive energy. I always say this mantra before a race at the starting line:
āSmooth. Fast. Focus.ā
Inspiration and Heroes
Dash looks up to some of the best in the business: āI really look up to Billy Bolt and Max Gerston. Their riding styles inspire me. I watch them ride and try to learn from them. I hope to one day race just like that.ā
Gratitude and Support
Dash is quick to thank those who help him chase his dreams and credits the following:
āMy brother, Rigby, for being my best friend, always supporting and encouraging me.ā
āMy dad, for always fixing the parts I break and supporting me.ā
āMy mom, for cheering me on and always bringing snacks.ā
āMax Gerston, for taking the time to coach me.ā
āAMRA, for putting on amazing races and keeping the adventures in life alive. Thank you for supporting young riders like me!ā
