AMRA RD7 Flagstaff Enduro Draws Record 277 Racers for Arizona Dirt Bike Racing

Arizona Dirt Bike Racing at the 2026 Flagstaff Enduro: RD7 Race Recap
Record Turnout in Flagstaff
Round 7 of the 2026 AMRA Racing Series brought a record-breaking 277 racers to the Kelly Trail System in Flagstaff, Arizona, Oct. 3-4 for the Flagstaff Enduro, hosted by Coconino Trail Riders.
The weekend drew 218 big-bike racers and 59 mini racers, setting a new attendance record for the Flagstaff Enduro and bringing a huge AMRA crowd to the Coconino National Forest for two days of Arizona dirt bike racing.
Recent rain leading into race weekend had the dirt in great shape, but the course itself was anything but easy. Tight singletrack, relentless rocks, and 7,000 feet of elevation gave riders a true Flagstaff enduro challenge.
Flagstaff Delivers a Technical Enduro Challenge
Racing in the pines gives AMRA riders a completely different experience from the desert terrain found at many stops throughout the series.
Pro riders faced 61 miles of incredibly tight, technical, and rocky terrain through the Kelly Trail System. Recent rain provided great dirt and traction, but there was no getting around the rocks.
It was the kind of course that demanded endurance and focus from start to finish.
59 Mini Racers Take on Flagstaff
Sunday belonged to the minis, with 59 young racers lining up across three races.
The youngest 50cc and 65cc riders competed on a 0.8-mile course, followed by the next group on a 2.75-mile course. The older 85cc and Super Mini racers took on a 7.3-mile course.
With nearly 60 mini racers competing, Flagstaff delivered another strong showing for AMRA's youth racing program and the next generation of Arizona dirt bike racing.
AA Riders Battle for a $3,000 Pro Purse
The AA riders brought serious competition to Flagstaff, battling the technical terrain for the podium and a $3,000 total Pro purse.

Coconino Trail Riders Make the Flagstaff Enduro Happen
Putting on an enduro like this takes a tremendous amount of work long before the first rider leaves the start.
A huge thank you goes to Coconino Trail Riders, the host club for RD7, and everyone who volunteered their time to prepare the course, organize the event, and keep everything moving throughout the weekend.
A special thank you goes to Steve Hatch and Ben Trapp, Race Directors for the Flagstaff Enduro. Steve and Ben did an outstanding job putting all the pieces together for a race that welcomed a record 277 riders to Flagstaff. Ben Trapp is also the AMRA Scoring Officer, and Steve Hatch is also a race sponsor for RD7 through his company, Hatch River Expeditions.
RD7 also marked the first race for AMRA's new Scoring Assistant, Hailey Hebert, who joined the scoring team for the Flagstaff Enduro.
From course preparation and race logistics to Saturday's big-bike enduro and Sunday's mini races, an event of this size takes a lot of people and a lot of work behind the scenes. Thank you to Steve, Ben, CTR, and every volunteer who helped make the 2026 Flagstaff Enduro happen.
