AMRA Scoring Assistant: Join the Team Behind AMRA Race Results

AMRA Scoring Assistant needed

The Arizona Motorcycle Riders Association (AMRA) continues to grow, and with that growth comes the need for strong support behind the scenes. One of the most important roles in delivering a successful race weekend is the AMRA Scoring Assistant.

This position helps ensure that racers receive accurate and timely results, supporting AMRA’s new live, cloud-based scoring system used during events across Arizona.

If you enjoy racing, technology, and contributing to the community, the AMRA Scoring Assistant role is a great way to become part of the team that keeps the series running smoothly.

What the AMRA Scoring Assistant Does

The AMRA Scoring Assistant works directly with the Scoring Expert during race weekends to support all aspects of the scoring process.

Key responsibilities include:

• Assisting with race-day scoring setup, live scoring, and teardown

• Registering racers and assigning RFID timing tags

• Supporting wireless hotspots and network connections used for live scoring

• Helping operate electronic scoring and timing equipment

• Assisting with result verification when protests occur

• Supporting volunteers working with the scoring team

This role helps ensure that race results are published accurately and quickly, which is essential for racers, teams, and championship standings.

Why the AMRA Scoring Assistant Role Matters

Accurate race results are critical to any racing series. With the introduction of live scoring technology, AMRA racers can now see results published in near real time.

The AMRA Scoring Assistant helps maintain the system that makes this possible.

Without reliable scoring operations, racers would not receive timely results, and championship points could not be tracked accurately across the season.

By supporting the scoring team, this role helps ensure that every racer receives the results they earned on the course.

Who Should Apply

The AMRA Scoring Assistant role is ideal for someone who enjoys both racing and technology.

The best candidates will have:

• A commitment to attend race events throughout the season

• Comfort learning and working with electronic equipment and software

• Strong attention to detail

• Organizational and communication skills

•A positive attitude during long race days

Previous scoring experience is not required. Training on AMRA’s systems and processes will be provided.

Compensation and Benefits

The AMRA Scoring Assistant receives:

• $200 per event

• Free event admission (gate fees)

• The opportunity to play a key role in supporting AMRA racing

For many members of the community, volunteering is also a rewarding way to give back to the sport and support fellow racers.
