Jon Nordling

Rider Spotlight: Inside Jon Nordling’s Passion for Off-Road Racing

At just 14 years old, Jon Nordling is already proving that age is no limit to passion and performance. Competing in AMRA’s A250 class, Jon has shown consistency, skill, and an unstoppable drive that make him one of the most exciting young racers on the circuit.

From Local Motocross to the AMRA A250 Class

Jon’s love for dirt bikes started early — practically as soon as he could walk. Growing up with an adventurous, outdoors-loving family, he was introduced to motorcycles at a young age.

“My parents noticed I was enthusiastic about riding and encouraged me to develop my skills safely and steadily. By the time I was 10, I was already competing in local youth motocross events,” Jon shared.

Those early experiences gave him the confidence and skill to take on bigger challenges — including stepping into the highly competitive A250 class.

“Transitioning into the A250 class was a big step for me,” he said. “The 250cc bikes have a lot of power and agility, and the competition is tough. I try to ride aggressively but stay smart and adaptable. It’s made me a better rider.”

Season Highlights

This season, Jon has consistently placed in the top five, with a personal best at Desert Thunder, where he claimed second place in challenging race conditions.

“The conditions were tough, and the competition was fierce, but I just focused and pushed through,” Jon said.

Training and Mindset

For Jon, racing isn’t just about speed — it’s about discipline, endurance, and mindset.

“I want to get better every day,” he said. “Racing is not just about speed; it’s about control, endurance, and having fun. I go to riding clinics and workshops whenever I can, and I always try to learn from more experienced racers.”

The Team Behind the Rider

Jon’s parents are a huge part of his journey, always there cheering him on and handling the logistics of race day. His coaches, mentors, and fellow racers form a close-knit community that keeps him motivated and grounded.

“My parents are my biggest fans… My coaches help me with technique and race strategies, and my fellow riders push me to be my best. It’s a great community.”

Looking Ahead

With humility and focus beyond his years, Jon’s future looks bright.

“I want to keep moving up to higher classes and maybe compete nationally one day,” he said. “But no matter what, I just want to keep getting better and keep loving the sport.”
